Last year, 2,000 ladies shared friendship and fun at the JW Marriott. It was an experience that many red hat sisters are still fondly remembering, especially the laughter therapist, Dr. Maxine who will be returning. Warning: Be prepared to hold your aching sides from the laughter she will surely send your way.

Please carefully read all the details regarding the registrations below and the policies surrounding the day’s events. Last year, many chapters or ladies were too late in submitting their registrations and were unable to attend. We don’t want that to happen this year. The cost includes a fabulous lunch and top-notch entertainment as well as a day of surprises and fun!

• Tables will be reserved according to how early your reservation is received. Each registration form will be date-stamped to ensure fairness.

• Tables will seat 10. Go to “Registration” for details to register your chapter. There will NOT be nametags given out this year – only tickets. You will need to send in one (1) registration form to ensure your group is seated together. Your ticket will give your reserved table number. Tickets will be sent to you in “your” stamped, self-addressed envelope approximately 30 days before the March 11th date. Your group quite possibly will be split between 2 tables in order to fill the tables evenly as your reservations come in and to once again ensure fairness. We have available seating for 2,000 red hat ladies who want to have fun!

• One (1) check collected by the QM or designee should be sent in for the total number of ladies attending along with a completed registration form and self-addressed, stamped envelope to return your tickets for the convention.

• If a member decides at a later date to register, unfortunately, we will not be able to seat her with her chapter. Please note this is a great opportunity to meet other red hat ladies whom you can share ideas and perhaps even plan a red hat trip together!

• Your “cancelled” check will be your confirmation that your reservations have been received. Check should be made payable to Janie Rausch and sent to 1717 E. Cielo Grande Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85024. Please do NOT send registered mail, as this will only delay your registration.

• A professional meeting planner has been hired to co-ordinate all reservations and seating assignments. We are sorry but there will be “no refunds.” Please sell or donate your ticket to another red hatter if you cannot attend.

• We sold out in record time at last year’s event, but there was so much interest from outside Arizona. Therefore, we have opened up registrations to Red Hat Chapters from other states. Do not wait until the last minute to register. The seats will go quickly.

• The fabulous menu will be a delight to the eye as well as the palate. You know how important food is to our red hatters; therefore, we are taking our time in our menu selection to ensure your anticipation will be completely satisfied.

• Entertainment has been finalized and I’m proud and happy to announce Dr. Maxine will be returning again this year. She recently was the keynote speaker at the RHS National Convention in St. Louis and we are very, very fortunate to have her returning to AZ.

• Vendor Alley will be bigger and better than last year (and we didn’t think that was possible) but wait until you see the newest items to adorn us! It’ll be a WOW!

• Registration deadline is February 15, 2007. – Always visit www.azredhats.com for any updates on the convention! Please share ALL information with your members even if you cannot attend.
